Being american, and a large mid tier company, they are seen as the 'Americans' read foreigners with the big bucks muscling in among the little people.

They threaten to build their smelter outside of the province, or even in the States, because of electrical power rates. Threats do not suit them. Bad pr move.

Them chosing to go open pit is true american style, money over environment. It should not sit well in the permit applications, and Natives! Well natives and environmentalists just love these kinds of scenarios.

Can they find their other foot to shoot at. Geez. All my opinion.
