What????? I guess you missed the conversation after K put this TIC idea out there that a higher concentration of NI made a significant difference in the weight of the cores. A lot of people didn't notice it was a joke as there would be no significant difference in the weight between a core at .9% Ni. and one of 5% Ni as far as getting it out of the ground.

Sum,

High grade nickel core (5%) is much heavier the lower grade (0.9%) due to the ~100% volume of sulphide minerals present (pentlandite, pyrrhotite and pyrite + pms). All of these minerals are almost twice as heavy as barren rock.
