McGuinty to release his long awaited election platform on Monday. On Labour day? I found this surprising. I read that the TV debates look like they will be scheduled Sept.22.

Premier Dalton McGuinty's long-awaited election platform will be revealed Monday, the party announced.
McGuinty is the last major leader to release his re-election promises, coming just two days before the official launch of the campaign.
Liberals say they will contrast their document, which they called "more responsible," with that of PC Leader Tim Hudak.
The PCs have promised to cut taxes and roll back the HST on home energy.
"On Monday, we will be presenting a platform, which ... has taken work over the past year and a half," Liberal campaign chair Greg Sorbara said Friday. "I describe it as a serious platform for serious times. I think when the people of Ontario grasp where we propose to go, how we propose not just to stay on track but to move Ontario together, the notion of going forward together is part and parcel of just about every single word that is in that platform."
The Liberals also plan to compare their platform to that of the NDP, claiming the third party would hurt business with tax increases. NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is promising to pay for her election promises — including cuts to HST on gasoline and electricity — by rolling back planned Liberal corporate tax cuts.
The campaign gets underway officially Wednesday and wraps up with the vote on Oct. 6.
