It's totally up to you what you decide to do....but to further respond to your first question...I don't jump in and out, I move in accordance with protecting my assets. If the short term trend is changing then I respond to it and in the process protect some ridiculous assets which allow me to buy back some ridiculous shares that I didn't own before... for free. The requirement is that you sell some when the sp rises, instead of getting too greedy expecting the stock will rise forever, and then buy more when it gets cheaper. It's what every successful trader/investor does. The bottom line to solving all questions is.....have you made money....being that that is the reason why you are here. If you haven't then you have some questions to ask of yourself.
