Good example Babjak ( off topic but worth consideration) and I am not wondering why you posted it here.
I am recently retired and being of European roots, I spend a part of most years in Europe to get in touch with those roots partly as a plain tourist.
After the world economy, muslims seem to be topic number two particularly in France and Germany. I do not pay much attention to former Yugoslavia where there is even more friction.
Above is just a little background on myself because such tends to skew one's opinions and one needs to put up front any possible prejudices to have any hope of objectivity.
Any how, Enough of that Ed ( talking to myself).
I believe that it is an obligation of a citizen to state possible problems to one's politician because polititians, like all of us are just people, hence they can not keep a finger on the pulse of everything that occurs around them. They serve us and we owe them the support of keeping them well informed about events and of our collective opinions.
Back to Canada and the Ring:
Our natives, much like the muslims in Europe, are using the system's fear of not offending to cross over the laws and 'proper' behavoiur for their own purposes. Compounded by most politicians not being true leaders but I would label them as cowards. The media are not interested in reporting a true perspective BUT to garner readers and viewers are playing into the hands of the protesters.
( Has anyone heard of protests by christians in a muslim country?, I have not.)
The sum of it all is that a small and Vocal minority is snuffing the voice of the majority. We need to be conscious of what is going on about us, particularly globally. As a famous Canadian said, It is a global village.
The majority needs to be heard or blame themselves.
Thanks B.
