Many hydro lines that I saw have been put in place with a cut through the bush and any 'road' that exists is not really practical for our needs, imho. At least I have rarely noticed any practical roads along them. Seems to me that many lines must have been put in place with assistance of helicopters.

However having established a path through such bush and there being a need to periodicallyinspect, or even repair hydro lines, it makes sense to use that path for a service road. Further along that thought, once a precedent is made, upgrade a service road into a fully usable one.

Any experienced people here re hydro line construction practices? Not me.
