It’s simple! I buy Canadian made 1st. If I can’t buy Canadian I look to the US and it must have a “made in the US” label. I do my research to find out where it’s made including the parts or ingredients. I use the same philosophy when I order material and equipment for my company. In the past 3 years I have diverted much of the contracted work from Asia to the US with great success in terms of quality and cost. I would have preferred to keep this work in Canada but I was unable to find suitable manufactures. I also invest exclusively in Canadian companies.

Don’t wait for the government or the unions to take the lead when it comes to supporting the Canadian economy. It starts with the Canadian consumer asking and demanding for made in Canada goods and services. Stop complaining and start buying Canadian. If you think it does not make a difference you are completely mistaken.

If every Canadian woke up tomorrow and focused their buying power on Canadian goods and services we may not have an unemployment problem.
