B-Jay there is also Xstrata who are desperate with their South African problems AND they did have a cozy relation with Noront a few years ago re educating Noront about chromite.
With Bao and Cliffs in the picture, Vale and Xstrata could make things complicated and Very interesting for us as investors. However those kind of shinanigans are still off in the future imho.
As for the border transgression by Bold with drilling as reminded by Djje, well I do not believe one iota that it was pure accident. ( Think I said similar at the time) Anyone drilling that close to a border and spending their own money to do it are very conscious and carefull about what is happening. I think it was an investigation wether there was geologic continuity from a neighbour (Us), to Bold's.
Had the results been nil then i suspect we would have heard about it HOWEVER if there was anything of substance = Mums is the word.
Finally about the run up, I think it is likely to be temporary in the short term. A reaction to the recent infrastructure/el.power announcement. Some folks realizing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel are buying. All this action is like a spring, was compressed and then stretched by news. As there was an under shoot and significan suppression of sp so there is likely to be a bit of an over shoot. Then there will be a period of rest and waiting for next hint of news which could be enough to put us into the $s range.
Cheers, Ed.
