(3) Do you remember that shortly after this meeting in Jan. 2011, Citic (China investment Corporation ) opened up their first North American Headquarters?

(4) Costs for Infrastructure for the North will be huge. China is a willing party to borrow money from ...but what about the matter of FIPA?

(7) But....then....the First Nations didn't like the China FIPA. They got lawyered up and decided to take this Canada - China FIPA to court.

This held back investment until a ruling could be made.

This ruling by the federal Gov't is an important one.

Infrastructure will take lots of money. And those putting up the bucks want assurances that their money is protected. With this Canada-China Fipa agreement the Chinese will have investment protection.
