Fear is not an option. The FN or anyone for the matter have no right to use violence or harassment to achieve desired outcomes. We have a legal system that encompasses all, meaning everyone has the right to be heard. But when violence becomes evident during protest then force, even deadly, should be expected; to stop them. Just because someone trespasses on your property does not give you the right to shoot them. If, however, they refuse to leave then it is your right to call the police and have them removed and or charged. If they threaten violence then you have the right to defend yourself.
I have all the respect for the FN, but with the examples such as these mentioned on the forum I am only reminded of how violence does not solve anything, it only begets more violence and hate. This being said I hope that the FN of the north embrace diplomacy and capitalism over violence, because I would much rather have them as business partners receiving their respectful FAIR SHARE, then to have them accuse us of trying to steal what is rightfully theirs and pull a gun on one of my fellow Ontarians, regardless of whether they are law enforcement or not.
