Ed, I think you have asked the right question "........ meaning consultation (whatever that means)". I think aboriginal band members assume that consultation means "barter" when the real definition of consulting is to ask the advice or the opinion of, to confer, to exchange views. Now, I am sure these bands have some very important imput into best practices in land use that they inhabit but I think they are mostly interested in getting more than coloured beads from these consultation outcomes. I have come to believe it is more about the money and much less about the land the environment and their way of life. JMHO. the deputy
