Take over with 50 cents for a KWG share! 25 times the going price, that is realistic?
I do not own any KWG but come on, get real.
Hebe asked a serious question, I presume he does not want to waste time on a wild hypothesis.
Just by share price exchange it means 25 KWG for one Noront. But we exchange on a merge not a buyout. Buyer must give a premium to the seller for sale to be accepted. +50% to double present sp is common. I do not know the present KWG share ownwrship structure. Managemnt and regular investors would hold out. Funds on the other hand might bite on lower level because they quickly flip into another opportunity that shows quicker returns.
Argument was made that both companies are hurt by present situation in the Ring, but I say that Noront is hurt the least of all the companies, with still possible exception of new Probe.
If Noront wanted to take over the best oportunity is when it's stock flies while the one bought is temporarily in the dump. So now is a good opportunity BUT Noront is in the business right now to develop the Eagle mine and not quire.
Share dilution has got nothing to do with it. You get something in exchange for something else. Here you weigh in the possible gain of assets against the cost to you.
Noront just aquired Cliffs's chromite at a bargain price and that should be very positive to NOT sp, but with a bit of a gain yesterday, as I write the sp is being dumped (-7% ) on fairly high volume of shares traded. Why is that?
There was not enough gain yesterday to motivate serious profit taking at this moment to justify present sp action.
Xfish, KWG share consolidation does nothing except for appearances, the company's price is still the same. The appearance only matters if you are looking for funding ( minimum sp of 5 cents) and to look more respectfully on the stock exchange.
Fairly clear that take over of KWG is out of the question at this time, same for merge. As a NOT holder I have no interest in KWG and that is why I do not own any of it now. Future?, well things would have to change from present and I can not see that far.
Sorry Hebe, I wish I could be more specific and clear. Ed.
