"Just my opinion on latest news and reactions from Companies and Governments towards the transportation and linking of First Nations with roads and rail. From Irish1111 post."
If I'm not mistaken, Irish1111 has been/continues to be a paid (shares?) lobbyist for KWG for a number of years.
It would seem that the roads -for -rail + FN spin is just another delay of mining approvals and a Ontario set-up argument to camoflage ON's:--
a) lack of funds, eg (1$B) and hence,
b) another "getting it right" continuing ON government delay, (where is the ROF plan long ago requested (by both Harper and Trudeau for the Ontario) matching second billion:-$1B ROF from the already funded (by conservatives 3 years ago) $9B federal Canada Infastructure Investment Fund). Why does Wynne refuse to use the Already completed $200+ M Noront shovel and permit ready submitted plan from Noront? .....Ontario, (FN included) doesn't desparately need high paying jobs and tax revenues?
c) The ongoing joint Fed and ON provincial anti -mining and oil sands permitting/permit blockades; Eg ROF and pipeline/LNG plant permits. Refer to Yesterday's AB Notly failure to get Trudeau approval at yesterday's BC cabinet meeting.
The Mattawa 9 has demanded a EW road, power, and communications corridor for now, a10 year time length since the 2007 Noront EN discovery. So the EW infastructure corridor is for the exclusive use of about 5-7,000 FN and a 10 year -hence KWG Cr -only resource Railway, ......but not for a Noront shovel ready, permit ready and job-hiring ready Noront which controls 90% of. the 43-101 proven resources.
Its not only Coutts who should be pissed. Every ROF shareholder should be up in arms in protesting the Ontario and Federal inaction on their own election promises.
The ROF permit blockades reminds me of the nonsensical and protectionist Obama XL Pipeline permit blockade, and it has the continued support of his "special friend" in Ottawa??
Did the Mar 22nd federal budget not describe itself as an infastructure budget?
Why is another Ontario ROF infastructure funding delay set-up happening? Why all liberal governments destroying the mining and resource opportunities for Canada? Maybe only The Notley NDP in Alberta are the only government who knows what's good for Canada and Canadians. IMO, of course.
