I agree whole-heartedly with your last statement, Inca.  The importance of the past to me is the opportunity to learn from our mistakes.  How many more generations of Canadians will have to appologize for past mistakes before "some" First Nations people step away from the past and get on with making a meaningful contribution to a better future for all.
