- Called Shorecrest this a.m.
- Extremely helpful
- If Registered they can find out and tell you over the phone.
- If you're not a Registered Shareholder than you're "Beneficial"
- If Beneficial then contact broker, tell them how you want to vote or tender, and get case #
- Tell broker of "Interim Retention Election Cut-off", so they can vote to retain all your shares; deadline 14.3.2022
- Final absolute deadline for Retention Election Vote is 25.3.2022
- Ask for details from broker to facilitate this, but know that they record all calls so that your instructions can be recalled if their are any questions later about who said what and instructions given.
- Voting in Special Meeting is online, but with the Retention Election there are more legalities associated, so this process is being treated differently.
- Big difference between Registered and Beneficial shareholders actions.
- Many brokerages are still sifting thru the Retention Election process, but I have been assured by Shorecrest that once they are familiar, which should be by this week, that the voting process will be adopted quickly and Beneficial shareholders should expect that brokerages will use the CDSX system to quickly notify Computershare of your voting intentions
- Generally, brokerages on behalf of their clients will collect votes from everyone looking to vote, and thenĀ just prior to deadlines submit them all at once to ensure clients' votes are received by Computershare; batch transmission.
I urge all to call Shorecrest....GLTA. This is new territory for all involved. Act swiftly without delay.
