Some of my shares are with RBC. I called them last week and retained my shares. They can give you a confirmation number for the call but you have to ask. 

I got a letter in the mail from RBC yesterday. The title is Mandatory with Currnecy Opt. They provided their web site and a phone number with simple instructions for the tender instruction submissions.

The same 4 options are provided in the letter.

1. Cash election - USD
2. Retention election - CAD if automatic squeeze out
3. Retention election - USD if automatic squeeze out
4. Default - Cash election - CAD
