An excellent point was made. These companies have invested billions of R+D in thier existing pipeline. To up root all that they have developed, invested $ etc for a complete change in semi conductor material and architecture with POET - is not easy to do....but the (low) power, cost and performance of POET cannot be denied for long. If it ain't a big player, maybe a group of disruptors or very innovative thinking mid tiers puts in a strong bid. At that point we hope others react and make a bid...

Aves- the sale of this technology is a much more complicated process than you are giving it credit for. I simply don't think you have context to say "what were they doing for 4 months...". Massively powerul tech, but this is a platform and ecosystem change - it will take a lime for some to get thier heads around a move like that.
