I might be miles off here. But I do remeber people raising the concern of a hostile takeover, some weeks back. Would it be beyond the realms of possibility that all this buying by Pinetree et al, is coordinated so that a hostile bid might be accepted due to their large holding?

I have no idea if they could be talking to the large chip manufacturers. All I know is that this is one way of such things happening.
