As TheWaitingGame correctly pointed out, the company never said it intended to publish the Pellegrino 2 report.

I believe the POET management tries to avoid any low-ball offers from possible acquirers. Even if such an offer is unsuccessful in the end, it would bind management's time and effort and thus hamper the company in executing its plans to monetize the technology. And yes, I am talking here of monetization in terms of NRE income, closing license deals and the like to bring POET chips to the street, not monetization in terms of selling the company.

So in my opinion POET Technologies tries to fly unnoticed as long as possible and not get on the radar of e.g. Apple, Samsung or other Big Companies. Holding back the Pellegrino 2 report could help.
