Getting the options arn't the problem. Selling their shares to buy the cheap options are. And it's a cycle that continually puts downward pressure on the share price. If we had big demand for the shares and lots of volume that dilution wouldn't be a problem either. Why not have options at 20% cheaper than what they think the share price will be when the options are exercisable like say in a year and not at the present price( which insidently causes another problem, holding the price down for cheap options) Or better still prevent the people getting the options from selling shares to exercise the options in a given time limit. Anyway, thier selling shares to buy cheap options sure puts a damper on the share price and is one good reason why the share price is where it is and always goes down on good news.
