'POET has received specific interest in applications from prospective customers and is in advanced discussions to license for non-recurring engineering (NRE) fees and transfer our proprietary integrated planar opto-electronic technology. Included in the talks is the proposed establishment of a platform for the development of integrated sensing applications.'
One should reasonably be able to expect that nearly eighteen months on, the company could announce some progress on what was called 'advanced discussions'. But such is the company's determination to shroud itself in mystery in its silence, that yet again we are left with speculation as our only analystical tool to connect what little we know into meaningful data to assess our investment.
It's hard to believe that shareholders are expected to continue their support on the basis of crumbs from the masters table.
On July 13th the master however will have to answer for this shabby treatment at the AGM. That is my hope as cost and distance prevents me attending personally and I am reliant on those of you who can attend to grill our CEO.
My preference, which I feel has some merit, is that our CEO and Directors would prefer a more upbeat meeting by announcing beforehand the sort of news (revenue and lots of it) that could put this company on a credible basis for others to become investors. Clearly, this is not the market's sentiment at present, nor for far too long a time since management dug the hole the SP fell into.
Whilst I will remain long, as is my nature, management needs a kick up the backside and I incite those of you with big boots who will be at the AGM to practice your goal kicks.
