As you will recall at the 2017 AGM we were advised that the GaAs platform required continued development by a partner who had:

1. A dedicated foundry

2. A 3 year time horizon

We know that SCL have been slow to move but we also know that they have been upgrading their facilities for the development of a monolithic GaAs platform. And as we know the staging of deliverables are such that POET appears to be the only company qualified that have bid. At one point it was even up for debate whether they bid but I think that notion has been put to rest.

So although POET is probably not focused at all on the GaAs platform except potentially to use parts of it for integration into the dielectric platform the Indian Government appear to be continuing to move forward in their efforts for preparations to develop a monolithic GaAs platform.
