The die may be manufactured in Malaysia - and POET may be Canadian but the ban applies to "Worldwide companies" and the OI are highly likely to be manufactured using US Software and Equipment since the companies that specialise in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and a lot of the process control software used in the fabs are American.

Just sayin'.  You can think I am full of baloney but that is my read of the situation.  And, no, given the quantity I own, I don't like it one bit.  However, if we get the tier one NA player to the table with an order, we are golden.
