So years later, the new management wears Copetti like a stinking albatross around their neck and all their prep work to build this company and shareholder value is constantly stymied by this past failure to produce.

The irony of this of course is that Copetti put the cornerstones of this management in place. The one thing he did right. But clever use of irony (unfortunately) wins no points with those who have no sense of it.
