If people don't believe that others would not pay big bucks to duplicate a POET optical interposer by offering the top POET people whatever they wanted then you are not living in the real world. 

Is this not a risk with or without a cheap options at POET? I am on team "vote yes", but I would imagine this risk is very real even if they have millions of cheap options. Sadly, a big entity could just compensate any of our top brass for their POET options.

That said, I honestly believe, Suresh at the very least, has earned the right to have the options repriced.
