"FWIW I think the buyout idea is the least likely, downright nonsensical line of reasoning."

Nonsensical to actually argue it's nonsensical.  People just don't want to believe it, it's entirely reasonable.  As a matter of fact, isn't it really the ultimate validation?  All this "all roads lead to Poet" talk here, all the "nobody else can do what we can" bravado, okay, sure, so if true, some big fish isn't going to take a run at a technology that's give them a huge market advantage?  Why wouldn't they?  At a pittance too, even on the high end of the dreamers here, still a nothing "risk" for companies that's sit on absurd war chests. Of course a buyout is an option, if you truly believe we have what we routinely argue around here. And guess what, these new institutional investors will take a quick return in a heartbeat, you literally see this all the time, with shareholder rights incorporated too.   As well, look, the company brass will sign on to anything that fills their boots, you don't even register in their minds.

I'm not saying there will be a buyout, just how patently ridiculous to continually think it can't happen.  As a matter of fact as we move from a scattered retail investor base to a more organization big shareholder scenario, it becomes much easier to do so.
