I don't think POET wants to be exclusive with anybody. So it is in CAI's best interest to keep their work a secret until they are past the point where it matters. They are inventing. Inventing is done in secret. Always. 

Pricing from one's suppliers is also a secret. Buyers will grind with any information they have.

The hyperscalers are desperately chasing solutions. They will pay whatever it takes. Eventually, things will settle down, and competitive markets will develop, but for now, CAI is in a winner-take-all category, and they like it that way.

I think the selective leaking is to sow the future for POET. It sure doesn't seem to be doing much right now.
