Portee it would seem that in the world of corporate governance, having the CEO as a member of the board is not only common but I might suggest that it probably happens a majority of the time.

It's when the CEO is also chairman of the board (as was the case with RIMM until recently) that things can go haywire.

ALL of the big 5 banks have the CEO sitting on the board as does your beloved and DRIPing IPL.un.

as long he's not being elected as chariman, I don't this as a big deal.
