PYR seems to have had patents as far back as 2012 for plasma torches in iron ore pelletization. Not much seems to have occurred industry-wide on that front until LKAB in 2017-18-ish and RISE in 2018-2019 did separate efficacy tests.

First, given PYR held patents in this area, did PYR specifically or intentionally put the notion of using plasma torches in the thoughts of either or both of those two study leaders or participants?

(I noticed LKAB's study used Westinghouse plasma torches but made use of PYR's pricing for commercial costing in their financial analysis.)

Second, how did PYR come about to investigate iron ore pelletization in the first place as far back as 2012? Was it an in-house study or part of an outside study or thesis of one of your eventual staff?
