I must confess to being practically ignorant when it comes to politics in Quebec/Canada. When are the next elections, and from a foriegn share-holders point of view, who should I be rooting for? Which party favours the development of shale gas and do they have a chance of winning? How much power actually rests in the hands of the province itself, and how much is it controlled by central government? I realise these are questions I should have been asking much earlier than now - but better late than never I guess. Is anyone willing to give me a brief overview?
