Led I wasn't going to say anything if it weren't for your comment in your  text at the end of that post where you said

"Don't make me out to be concerned about something I've repeatedly said is not my concern."

but like I have just shown you... no one was putting words in your mouth. You actually were concerned about the reason for the conflict at one point.

something I would like to add.... you (and we) do not know if the notification was not timely (that is why I suspect you wanted to know when the conflict occurred in order to add strength to you agreement that it was not timely) it very well could have been last minute. We do  not know. Could have been a very personal reason (sudden scheduling of an MRI, or chemo thearapy for instance). Let's not keep assuming they knew for a while and just chose not to tell us. Bags may have been packed and hotels booked before something personal or substantial may have happened that is not for disclosure at this time.

Just my thoughts for what they are worth.
