Bear,
We agree - all factors that might be expected to slow the MACE rate down over time. And all discussed extensively on the board prior to now. Nothing suspicious or untoward there to start wailing and moaning about. The company folks likely expected a slowing rate as well but, since it would be difficult to project how much it would slow, they may not have compensated enough in their projections for declining risk over time and dropout levels. All that notwithstanding, the fact that we now have at least a 220 adjudicated MACE is definitely in the ballpark and possibly even good news if efficacy of apabaetalone is contributing to a slowing rate. Doesn't have to be sexy, it is just needs to be comfortable and it is for me, at least!
I haven't lived through the years of previous disappointments (investor for 14 months) so perhaps am overly sanguine, but I am not willing to condemn the company at this point for arriving in what are possibly very auspicious circumstances.
