I think you're right, maybe something along the lines of....

"We'll do another financing in 30 days, put it in the PR, maybe you can get someone to join in with us". 

Nearing 30 days later....

"What"???  "Oh right, the financing...we said 30 days right, give us another 30, and maybe a few more days after that....you have enough cash to last that long".
