icono - I was thinking along the same lines but then broke it down to see how big a task it really could be...or not.
Trial taking place in 12 to 14 countries. 2425 patients. About 5 clinics per country or 60 to 70 patients per clinic. When you deduct patients that have passed since the trial started and those that have dropped out it is less than 2 patients per working day per clinic. That's not that mind blowing. The log jam could be the labs that need to be done on all patients and getting that data to the trial management company. Also the final MoCA scores as all patients over 70 at the start of the trial will need that done.
Data analysis apparently is the fastest task to be done in this whole process. Ounce the data is entered they push a button and the computer spits out multiple reports with any conceivable predetermined request. DM made a comment to that effect at the last AGM. I can't remember if that was on the podium or in a small group talk.
When you compare this trial size to others, this one is small. RVX has not been really good at meeting timelines but this 2 to 4 months looks to be very realistic in context and has the potential to surprise after breaking it down.
