Great find Growacet. Nice to see that apabetalone got "some" attention. However, that dude really butchered the delivery. Too bad, since he is one of the BETonMACE clinical investigators! Unfortunately, he introduced apabetalone as an apo-AI and HDL raising drug after talking about CETP failures. He did not fully explain the mechanism of action and I don't think he even said bromodomain or BET inhibition at all. He barely touched on the other beneficial pathways modulated by apabetalone. One of the slides even indicated that it is currently being evaluated for plaque regression. Overall, a cringe worthy couple of minutes to listen too. But as EagleEyeCap mentioned, maybe this is how most docs perceive apabetalone right now and they either don't understand it or they think the apabetalone story is too good to be true. Hopefully some of these docs went to the Resverlogix sponsored ESC symposium to get a more complete, current and accurate summary of the potential of apabetalone.
