I believe i have read that statins are less effective in patients with highly compromised GFR. Will have to look for those link(s).

But IF that is accurate, then perhaps it helps to explain the more dramatic benefit of Apabetalone in those patients. Whether by giving the statins a chance to work or filling in somehow in another way.

One also wonders whether more time on the drug would yield a stronger result in multiple subgroups, IF EGFR does not decline as it otherwise would.

Perhaps one of the cardiologists or nephrologists in the group would have some thoughts on that?

Guess we will learn more.

I still want to hear more about inflammarion too. Hope they touch on that.
