Thanks chicagoest I also went back through the posts on this board for the last 2 months but was unable to find the one I was referring to. Although I'm not sure I believe it was a comment from Dr Ray within the last 2/3 months and the content had something to do with further study being needed, heart failure was mentioned and an NNT of 30 was mentioned. That NNT was what really caught my attention. Lipitor in its day had an NNT of around 100 and ended up with peek sales of just under $12 billion.
From our PR in June it seems that the FDA would like the focus of BoM2 to be exactly in our sweat spot of diabetic with recent cardio event being treated with an SGLT2i and lower functioning kidneys. In addition they also expressed an interest in NASH data for BoM2. When you review the BoM data you see that the target group has an RRR of over 50% which I believe, if achieved would put BoM2 in a position to be halted early for ethical reasons.
If someone reading this happens to find the post in the last 3 months that mentions an NNT of 30 or so for apabetalone would you please post a link so we can all see it again.
