RVXOT - There we're 318 new cases in Edmonton yesterday. I didn't see how many were hospitalized but there was 38 deaths in Alberta yesterday. Here is why I believe recruiting will happen very quickly if the early signs suggests APB is working.

From the Cdn Institute for Health Information article written on 26 Aug 2021

- average hospital stay in Canada 14.8 days

- average cost $23,000 - no ICU $15,00, with ICU $50,00+

- no ICU average stay 11 days

- with ICU 20 days

- no ICU average $1,363 per day cost

- with ICU $2,500+ per day

If there is a response to APB as is expected, it makes more financial sense for the hospital system to expand the trial, at their cost, with this safe drug potential than not to.

In both Greece and Brazil that is what happened. The trial in Greece was the drug developed in Israeli that is inhaled that just got approved in New Zealand and in Brazil it was the mCRPC drug that dramatically reduced the cytokine storm. Of course the problem with the mCRPC drug is that it was chemically castrating the male patients. Just coming off a 4200 patient year PIII trial with a good safety record could help us a lot.

APB has the potential to reduce hospital stay times by 50% to 80%. There are critical hospital problems right now in Alberta, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick and we are just coming into flue season. Let's see how the next few weeks play out.

To Nextblockbuster's concern about getting the word out, I have the same concern. I do believe however that if we start to send patients home from the hospital in 2 to 5 days that the word will get out very quickly and the press could have a hay day. That is the nice part about the open label trial. The Drs know who is on the drug and who is placebo, so do the nurses, the patients and their families. With that many people knowing it will be almost impossible to keep great results under wraps. If we don't get those great results it could be quite a challenging time for the company going forward.

Getting back to potentially great results and everyone knowing about them. My guess is that a lot of eyes could be looking at this little company over the next couple of months. We saw what happened with MRK and can only hope we get a piece of what they got.

tada
