First Explorer at the "Ring of Fire" and presently drilling on the "BIG DADDY" Chromite/Pge's jv'd property...yet we were robbed
Chrism, you write:
SPQ/FWR/KWG may see a similar situation whereas they poke a few holes, announce initial discovery (blue skies kick in), and share price peaks and does not exceed initial blue-skies peak until further drilling suggests more resource than initial blue-skies perceived value.
SPQ is presently drilling on the Freewest Option right now, and has been for a couple of weeks. So initial drill cores have come out of the ground. We know that 5000 meters will be drilled at a location which has already seen excellent results. But it has been a long time since the initial strike.
Given that the weather will probably stay cold for a while up at the drill site, I think that the drilling program will be completed on-time and on-budget. The drill crew will be going 24/7. So news is imminent.
So what is the likelihood of a "blue skies kick in"? And what will be the effect given what we know of the excellent geology, and Noront's Eagle strikes 2-4 kilometers away?
The fact that we already know that SPQ is drilling a MMS (magmatic massive sulphide) where chromitite and PGEs have been previously discovered, any new "strike" might be consider "green skies kick in". But that's playing with words.
Any significant "strike" will bring immediate appreciation in share price ("blue skies kick in). The already liquid nature of SPQ share trading will see a large increase in volume with everyone wondering how high will the share price go.
But as we know, share price does not go up forever. There will be a lot of daytrading. And the likes of Genuity, Canaccord, Pinetree, and IBK will become very, very interested. "So show me again, they will probably say."
So how will Neil Novak play it all? He has a significant vested interest in his Spider Resources. Moreover, his close friend Mac Watson (FWR) is also very interested in the success of this Freewest Option drilling joint venture.
It's pure conjecture, but perhaps Neil already has a disclosure strategy set up in his mind.
He's getting core samples as we speak; and he may be sending off samples for assay. He will also know what is happening at Noront with ongoing drilling at Eagle Two and a new anomaly. Furthermore, I expect that he and Richard Nemis will want to maximize news release (NR) impact.
If I was in his shoes, I would be doing the same thing. Just human nature when you're onto something big.
So I think a "blue skies peak" will be hit quickly within a day or so after an initial strike; and to punch even higher, I expect that follow-on releases from both SPQ-FWR-KWG plus some from NOT will propel share prices even higher. How high is anyone's guess, but if concurrent NRs detail excellent results, the ROF area play will be going ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching.
I know Neil is looking for "the big one", the motherlode. He has also intimated to me when chatting on the telephone, that if something big is hit at the Freewest Option, he will spend more money - probably to get a better idea of the extent of a strike.
Finally, this is my pure "blue sky" thinking. I apologize in advance if this sounds like pumping. But I've chatted with Neil on numerous occasions, plugged into SEDAR, looked at the new aerial surveys, and chatted with numerous posters on Agoracom. So do your own DD!
I think we're in for a great couple of months. Good luck to all!
