day traders.... a problem for many years

First Explorer at the "Ring of Fire" and presently drilling on the "BIG DADDY" Chromite/Pge's jv'd property...yet we were robbed
there are 8 orders comprising a little over a million shares on the ask at 8 cents.
...and, there are 16 orders of a 1.2 million on the ask at 8.5 cents.
this morning, after NOT was halted, it is tradional for a couple of daytraders to buy about a million each ...so they can unload and make a penny spread when the halt is lifted ...this gives them a 10,000 dollar profit. ...sometimes they buy half a million ...and other times a quarter million ...it varies depending on circumstances.
over the long term ...these guys do not make money ...but once in a while they do have a successful hit and this keeps them gambleing.
i know who they are... personally !
today, when the halt was lifted, there was little positive reaction (although the news is very promiseming indeed ...and we should all be quite happy about our future prsopects.)
now, this day trading "scurge" sits on the ask ...wanting to get out ...but they can't ...unless they take a loss. ...so they wait.
...although there are about ten orders at each level, you can be sure that one of the orders is bout a million and few others about a half million. ...the rest are small amounts from moms and pops wanting to get out because they have been scared by bashers.
i have watched this scenerio for over ten years and it constitutes the main problem with SPQ.
SOMEHOW, many years ago SPQ become a popular drop in centre for day traders ...very unfortunately. (...maybe it was because neil novak consistantly, year after year, led the way to finding the right drill locations and we continually had great results seasonally, which gave attenion to some day traders)
with out this "virus" SPQ would be trading currantly between 20 and 25 cents ...possible 30.
LASTLY: just be patiant ...the true value of our company will prevail
the daytrading activity just makes the journey more rough and painful than it should be .... but it helps to understand it.
i right this post so that others have some comfort in understanding the non-sense and why our company is so under-valued
...especially given all of our drill results over so many years 97 and the resulting profile of deposit that can be projected. (& diamonds too) ..as well, we now sit with the best grouping of anomilies that all of the ROF has to offer. ...and they sit in strike with eagle one !!!!!
also... the 2 million shares sitting on the ask is exactly the reason why some directors on our board want a reverse split.
not all directors are in favour because they know a split is feared by some shareholders ...and our directors have a substancial amount of percentage in shares ...so they are the first people who long for our share price to reflect a more accurate value.
personally, i prefer no split at this time along with some of the directors.
however, there are advantages on both sides.
if there is a split all must realize it should be done with some "earth moving" news ...in this scenerio the split will serve all purposes without having adverse affects as per associated "fear" and "bashing"
...and i firmly beleive that the reason we are being asked to vote on a possible split NOW ...is because some directors want to have available this tool: our management understands that great news is inevitable causing much attenion through canada for our SPQ ...AND AT THIS TIME ...they would like to have the proper paper work in place to execute a "split".
in this spirit i support a revearse split and perhaps we can have a resolution passed that it ONLY happen in this scenerio ...with this caveot perhaps shareholders would vote yes on their proxies to have a split... make no mistake, average shareholders have the last say on this.
i will ask neil novak if such consideration can be included as a binding clause for split execution and thus included as part of the "revearse split package" when voting on it.
cheers to everyone & remember we are in good hands.
