First Explorer at the "Ring of Fire" and presently drilling on the "BIG DADDY" Chromite/Pge's jv'd property...yet we were robbed
Good news for KWG. Good news for SPQ.
Initially I thought that maybe SPQ was in on this KWG initiative, but I now don't think so. IMO this is Frank Smeenk and his KWG BOD's initiative. It tells me a couple of things:
1) more drilling at Big Daddy - the NR mentions chromite - IMO I think it's more (PGEs and nickel, perhaps?) - the geos at KWG will be looking at Big Daddy with "fresh eyes' and new enthusiasm. This bodes well.
2) the railroad thing is for real - the NR mentions money for "data collection" - sure the native "blockade" of the "virtual" railway ups the ante some more - but the provincial government blocked their construction "demands" for a new runway (airport); they've blocked the "railway" - so be it - fodder for negotiations - KWG and Cliffs must and will be there if they are to benefit from the chromite.
Spider Resources is, through their initial JV with KWG, part of today's NR. Not directly, but still part of it. Should future drilling, done by the new "operator" (as of April 1) KWG, find a "motherlode" of nickel, the SPQ investor will immediately benefit, and benefit strongly.
Spider Resources, as one of the ROF explorcos, will benefit in the long run when the railway is built. But SPQ might get bought out, you say. Perhaps. Perhaps not. Have we heard anything other than rumors? Would it be so bad if we weren't bought out at a premium of 35% (Khareema's postulated number) and the share price kept going up by a few pennies every month?
Reality tells me that Spider Resources has, is, and will continue to sit on some mighty fine mineralization in the ROF. And that's not all. I'm certain that Neil Novak and his BOD are looking at more exploration possibilities, like kimberlite (e.g., Wawa, ROF) exploration. Neil's a diamond explorer at heart. He just happened to find a bunch of other good stuff at the ROF.
Lots of sunshine at SPQ. Just some of my thoughts.
