I took profits too. Is there something wrong with that? The SP had tripled in just over two weeks. If you didn't take some profits, then I feel your pain, because I had been there the last time it hit 15 cents and I bought more.
When I say that I am long and strong, it means that I am not foolish enough to get caught off guard by shorting SPQ. There is just too much potential for a humdinger of a find that could boost the SP. It certainly doesn't even have to be by SPQ, and Noront proved in Sept 07. And by strong, I mean that I still maintain a very healthy 1.2 mil shares, and will add to them again if the RS proposal fails. Otherwise, I will wait for that catastrophic move to transpire and really make some money.
To hold on with blind faith is a sure way to get stressed out over the SP. Sell some on the peaks, buy more in the troughs. All of the money I have invested in SPQ comes from an initial $500 investment in 1997. Not too bad if I do say so myself. Just wish the TFSA was out then...
