Glee gee, what I was trying to portray in my posts in regards to your broker saying Cliffs will withdraw their bid friday morning is as follows. The fact that you and one other poster here was told by their broker that the bid would be withdrawn friday morning, IMO, violates the Timely Disclosure Policy. I have provided excerpts of info pertaining to this in my previous posts. When I first read your post about the withdrawal, the first thing that jumped to my mind was sell. When I read that another poster say he was told the same thing, it added credebility to your statement and caused me to evaluate my position as a shareholder. Be it rumour or truth, I beleive the onus is on Cliffs to release a statement immediately, to comply with the Timely Disclosure Policy.
It would be interesting to know how many more shareholders were told this. Be it rumour or not, I beleive someone could be held accountable here. If Cliffs does withdraw their bid, there is the chance for big losses by investors here, if they dont, everything is okay for now.The fact that this rumour could have implications on the sp should be a serious matter to be looked at by the SEC. Maybe I am making a big thing out of this but, I only know how this rumour is making me feel right now. I might be seeing things wrong here and this post is my opinion and feelings on this subject, but I think I deserve some consolation on this from Cliffs.
