I agree completely about our current load of politicians. The oil mess has been coming for a long time. The US has not built a refinery in 30 years and we don't drill where many other countries would drill. So, we pay prices closer to our EU friends. However, in some of the developing countries like China and India, oil is sold for much less and gas prices are far less -- about $1.25 a gallon in China. The need to keep the people and products moving to continue to grow.

Now, if we had a car which would run all day on hot air and empty promises, the streets of Washington would be full of very cost effective cars. What's that old saying, Politicians and diapers need changing, and generally for the same reason.
