"deep into my 70's very deep"
We all are, the 1970s. Inflation, recession, high gas prices.
If history repeats its self, this thing will get better in 5-10 years.
At some point high fuel prices will either spark new fuel supplies (more drilling) or new energy sources (even those opposed to drilling in the Arctic Refuge will have to rethink things when gas goes over $5 a gallon)
(solar/nuke/wind/geothermal/ocean current). Or a global recession/depression that will cause fuel prices to drop from less demand. More ride sharing, more local food and products (to offset shipping costs)
Sometimes short term issues present long term solutions.
Would we have built a bomb is we didn't have someone to blow up?
