Putnam has expressed a willingness to settle with Digecor on several occasions. eDigitals IP is non negotiable and this issue seems to have been the road block up until now. I think, as you suggest, that something has changed. Perhaps Brent Woods realizes they are being targeted as infringers. As you note they withdrew their request for a protective order and their motion to quash the notices of deposition. I may be misinterpreting this action but it certainly appears there has been a change of heart by taking such an action. I've always been a believer in taking the path of least resistance. A willingness to work thru the process rather than resist it could prove to yeild a better outcome than the beligerant tactics he has employed in the past. eDigital has demonstrated an unyeilding commitment to see this thru to the end and with at least a couple of settlements in their pocket and prospects for more has shown that they have the resources to go the distance if thats what it takes. I think Digecor's tactic from the beginning has been attrition. essentially spend us into the ground. The past couple of months demonstrates that this approach will no longer work.

I don't want to set expectations but I do think that the prospects for a settlement are as promising as ever. Judging from the tone of the courts directives, if there is a settlement, I doubt if we'll ever know the terms and conditions. To my way of thinking, getting this behind us is all that matters.
