Great observations....
Practice of Law, in the final analysis, is no more than a game of Chess, and DM has proven thus far that they are MASTERS in the ART...
As you recall, it took DM a year to "EVALUATE" EDIG'S case before they agreed to accept it. (1) That was the time they spent assessing if the case had at least a 75% chance of bringing some fees into the the firm. (2) They were so IMPRESSED with the "VALUE" of the case that they also agreed to "FRONT" the costs of litigation...
It took several months more until we had the "FILINGS" of the law suit against the "FIRST TIER" 8 defendants. That was not idle time. That was when the "STRATEGY" was hatched by the DM and they did a lot of "Retooling" (new hirings , associations etc.) anticipating every move and getting prepared to address it, before the filed the law suits, choosing very carefully, defendants that would adress their two main objectives. First, get some defendants you can cash out fast to build a war chest for paying litigation costs as you go, second pick one defendant that you use as the "HEAVY WEIGHT" who be a "GOOD MARK" to get a MARKMAN RULING against that will be the "KEY" to open the flood gates aginst the remainig 170+ defendants identified...
I am convinced DM was a blessing for all of us, as they are following a well planned script. Youngwirth's replies to the SAMSUNG make it clear that DM already knew SAMSUNG attornys were going to throw paper, (all 932+ pages) at them before it was filed with the Court. And SAMSUNG is following DM'S SCRIPT to a T...
SAMSUNG is THE KEY to our future, and I am positive after paying several million to their attorney to "PULL RABBITS OUT OF HATS" they will either fold BIG, or give us a MARKAMN RULING that will be EDIG'S collection paper against the mob of infringers who are using its Tech now, or will be using it in the future...
EDIG after SAMSUNG will be a stock on the Big Boards, and shall be a far different company than today...
Keep up your good substantive work for this Board...
