"Apparently, Samsung intends to advocate a construction of the claims to which it refers that excludes the linking described in the contentions by characterizing that type of linking as a traditional file allocation table."
Their ideas are far from traditional in the manner linking is utilized.
linking is a generic term....it's like the function of music scales.
It's all in patented principles and logical arrangement.....where, unlike music, the methods to structure serial data segments having hierarchy are very finite when not utilizing directive structures(allocation tables).
This process relates to data storage, however, the balance of IP ideas rest squarely on it.
All claims are important, and that is why e.Digital made mention of not giving up, or waiving any rights on the limited claims that the court has set.....noting, they want the right to pursue Samsung on future filings if necessary.
