Some Interesting Perspective

Some doubt the real value of EDigitals Patents by constantly stating that were only worth a small sum if taken over by a larger more estabilished firm. But I'm always reminding myself about 2 companies that traveled similar paths.
#1 Microsoft..who's MS-DOS was not aquired by IBM for a mere One million Dollars. I beleive in their wisdom (or lack thereof) they would rather pay a fee for each copy included with a PC purchase. AND
#2 The small company who offered RIM (of blackberry fame) a chance to AQUIRE their patents for use with their product line for a mere TEN MILLION DOLLARS. The patents were owned by a Gentleman who passed away, and the children, I beleive, tried in vein to complete this deal, but the response from the Canadians was "Puck You eh!
The interesting part was when the court case became a reality, and acheived International Fame, and the children showed up in court with their "Family Lawyer",(this is so funny) and in short order had RIM "Quaking In Their Boots" about the possibility of being on the hook for 1.8 BILLION DOLLARS,(their estimate) worth of infringement, all of a sudden were happy to be paying a price of SIX HUNDRED FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS.
Soooo,
The value of EDigital to me needs to take into account the information posted on this board by Doni. The techinal stuff which is sometimes hard to grasp, is what an aquiring company needs, and is willing to pay for. They..not all of us..know full well what we have!
DoThey ..think they can estabilish a price similar to IBM?

Hold and Stay Strong!
ya gotta love those Canadians, eh!
