I did not interpret DB's $24.50 comment to be the only reason re: Intel / Skip.

I bought QCOM at 256 and sold most of it 6 weeks later for 800 before the 4:1 split, in 1999. Everthing was crazy then...you are correct.
The fundamentals of EDIG back then did not justify the pps run, but the patents and speculation to be "the next QCOM" rocketed the pps too the moon as emma says...LOL.
What I like in comparison to 99/00 and beyond leaping to 2010, is the fundamentals have greatly improved, has a long ways to go still, but we seem by all accounts to be on the right path.
The "formula" to have a 99/00 repeat, or even close, will be made up of many factors. Yes, it will take new product and or partnership announcements, addition of key personel both employees and on the BOD, zillions coming in from IP efforts etc etc.
Are we there yet?
